Award-winning comedian Rod Woodward has come a long way since his stand-up career began as a studio audience warm-up man for ITV Wales.
A finalist in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition at The Edinburgh Fringe in his first year as a professional, Rod started to receive plaudits from such luminaries as Peter Kay and Barry Cryer.
He completed a hat-trick on the greatest stage on earth when he joined the very elite group of entertainers who have been invited back to the Royal Variety Performance, once again raising the Palladium roof in the presence of Harry and Meghan. Soon after, they retired from public duties – not that he’s taking any credit for that!
